Thermo Scientific 3143-0175 Nalgene PPCO Conical-Bottom Centrifuge Bottle, 175mL, 175 mL - Translucent (Case of 36)

Perform pelleting applications such as large-volume cell harvesting, pelleting and protein purification with Thermo Scientific Nalgene PPCO Conical-Bottom Centrifuge Bottles, which are molded of rigid and robust polypropylene copolymer. These translucent bottles are autoclavable and have excellent chemical resistance properties. Features:

• For low to moderate speed centrifugation of biological and chemical samples
• For proper performance, bottles must be filled to 80% of the total capacity
• Must be used with Nalgene adapter for conical-bottom centrifuge bottles (DS3126-0175)
• Autoclavable, graduated and leakproof† when used with Nalgene closures

Note: Not recommended to use in Thermo Fisher Fiberlite F14-6x250y rotor, due to the cavity depth.

You can achieve successful leak proof performance using these two bottles in Thermo Fisher Fiberlite F12-6x500 LEX rotor when used with the 010-0152 adaptor at speeds up to but not exceeding 24,470 x g.

Recycling Information:
Nalgene reusable polypropylene(PP) and polypropylene copolymer (PPCO) centrifuge tubes are designed to last many spins under typical laboratory conditions. Yet, as with all durable products, they need to be retired and replaced eventually. These centrifuge tubes are recyclable in many communities. At end of product life, please wash and recycle your Nalgene PP and PPCO centrifuge tubes if services are available in your community.

† The term leakproof applies to Thermo Scientific Nalgene products that meet the following criteria: a) Bottle/flask/funnel closure systems with closures smaller than 100mm, after they are filled with water, inverted, withstand air pressure of 2psig for 2 minutes, and no water escapes;. b) Bottle/funnel/flask closure systems of larger than 100mm after they are filled with water, inverted for 15 minutes, and no water escapes. Note: these tests, using other liquids, may not yield the same results. To ensure safe usage, customers are advised to test Thermo Scientific Nalgene bottles and closures under conditions of their planned applications. Thermo Scientific Nalgene products are leakproof at ambient temperature and pressure when used with their Nalgene closures.
