Clamps

Laboratory fluid-handling clamps secure tubing or compatible union connections within transfer, dispensing, and process systems. The current selection includes Nalgene™ PVDF true-union clamps, a polypropylene pinch clamp, and a heavy-duty stainless-steel clamp.

Choose a clamp according to its intended connection type rather than assuming that different clamp styles are interchangeable. For union clamps, confirm the fitting design and nominal connection size. For tubing clamps, verify the tubing’s outside diameter, wall thickness, material, and required degree of flow restriction. Clamp material should also be evaluated against the chemicals, operating temperature, cleaning method, and surrounding environment. Confirm compatibility using the specifications for both the clamp and the component it will secure.
